International executive recruiting firm Charles Aris Inc. announced the promotion of Ashlee Wagner from senior associate practice leader to practice leader. As a key member of the firm’s Strategy & Corporate Development practice, Wagner will lead its recruitment efforts in the financial services marketplace.
“Becoming a practice leader has been a goal of mine since joining Charles Aris,” Wagner said. “I’m excited to take this next step. I’m grateful for all the support I’ve received thus far and look forward to continuing to grow personally and professionally at the firm.”
Prior to joining Charles Aris, Wagner earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Following graduation, she worked for State Farm Insurance, where she focused on auto, home, life and health insurance as well as banking products. In her free time, Ashlee enjoys traveling with her husband, John; spending time with their dogs, Marley and Riley; and supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.Charles Aris welcomed Wagner to the team in 2014. Her success and dedication have resulted in four promotions since. In 2018, Wagner added another accolade to her portfolio when she was named among the Triad Business Journal’s “40 Leaders Under Forty”.
In the past three years, the Charles Aris Strategy & Corporate Development recruiting team has placed 245 candidates at multiple levels in client organizations. The firm’s senior leaders look forward to watching that number grow as practice leaders such as Wagner strengthen an already strong recruiting practice.
“We couldn’t be more excited about Ashlee Wagner’s ongoing success at Charles Aris, and we are thrilled to announce that she has now been promoted to practice leader for our financial services practice,” said Charles Aris CEO Chad Oakley. “Making the successful jump from associate to practice leader is the most difficult transition in our organization, and you can only be promoted once you’ve demonstrated the skills and capabilities to lead a practice by hitting multiple milestones. Ashlee has met them all with flying colors – we’re proud to have her at Charles Aris.”
Fellow strategy practice leader Jill Jitima, who recently earned a promotion to vice president, couldn’t agree more.
“I am so proud of Ashlee and all of her hard work as she has transitioned from associate to practice leader,” Jitima said. “Ashlee truly cares about her clients, candidates, and colleagues, and it has shown as she has built her practice. Ashlee’s endless enthusiasm and drive in identifying A-level talent will make her an extremely successful practice leader. I am so excited for what is to come for her.”
