Marketing & Digital Intern at Charles Aris Executive Search
Tory Bowers, a former Charles Aris intern, comes from a background as a science teacher at Greensboro Day School, but in recent years has received her MBA with a finance concentration from the UNC-Greensboro Bryan School of Business and Economics. Bowers is excited to return, citing her training as reinvigorating her passion for her new full-time roll.
“The people at Charles Aris made the world of difference in the training experience – everyone was engaging and kind. It was made clear that there is a lot of passion behind what gets done at the firm every day!”
Associate practice leader Jacob Watkins, who worked with Bowers when she interned with Charles Aris, is looking forward to seeing Bowers succeed.
“We’re thrilled to have her join the Charles Aris family full-time. Tory was a standout intern with us during the summer of 2020 and made significant contributions to our business, despite the natural challenges of onboarding and working remotely during the height of the pandemic. Tory is incredibly smart, intellectually curious and has an internal drive to succeed in whatever she does. I look forward to seeing the great things she will accomplish in her new role as an associate.”
In addition to Bowers’ return to Charles Aris, Devin Williams joins the team after earning his bachelor’s degree in management and society from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As the ticketing and database operations director for Carolina Fever – a student group that promotes attendance of UNC sporting events – he was often found cheering on the Tar Heels no matter the sport.
“I am excited to join such an accomplished team, and I am looking forward to learning from the many talented individuals here at Charles Aris,” he said.
Vice president Sarah Becker could not be more ready for Williams to start.
“One of the things that impressed me when interviewing Devin was the questions he asked us. It was clear he had done his homework on the company and was being thoughtful about questions that would help him really understand what his career would look like here at Charles Aris. One of the things that makes people successful at Charles Aris is the ability to not simply ask questions but listen and respond with the right layer of questioning. I think this is a natural fit for Devin, and I can’t wait to see him apply this skill as he builds his recruitment skills here at Charles Aris!”
In his new role as an associate recruiter, Micah Wiggins will be recruiting across many different practices at Charles Aris Executive Search. He earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Appalachian State University. He also spent time as the head coach of the women’s basketball club team, managing training and gameplans. He couldn’t feel more prepared to start contributing.
“I am grateful to the Charles Aris team for taking me in, and for all the passionate training and mentorship I have received already,” he said. “I’m super excited to start making my own contributions to the culture and company, and I’m feeling very confident that this team will make that easy for me. I’m looking forward to getting to work!”
Danielle Bowman, Vice President of Human Capital, is confident that Wiggins is prepared for this new role.
“We are so excited that Micah has joined Charles Aris. His dedication as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and his ability to build authentic connections will be great assets for our firm.”
